Memphis vs. Osceola

Preview of Tuesday’s G League Game: Memphis Hustle at Osceola Magic

KISSIMMEE, Fla. (Interstat) — A tightly contested series reaches its rubber match Tuesday when the Memphis Hustle visit the Osceola Magic in a G League matchup at Silver Spurs Arena.

The teams have split two high-scoring meetings in the past week, setting the stage for a decisive third encounter. Memphis (6-7) edged Osceola (8-5) 121-119 on the road Sunday, just five days after the Hustle secured a 132-121 home victory on Dec. 11.

Tuesday’s game features two of the league’s hottest performers. Memphis forward G.G. Jackson, coming off a 23-point, 13-rebound effort in the Dec. 11 win over Osceola, has been a catalyst. Osceola guard Lester Quinones has been on a scoring tear, averaging 27.2 points over his last six games. He poured in 33 points in the Dec. 11 loss to Memphis.

The Hustle have found momentum after a slow start, winning three of their last four games, including the two victories over Osceola. Their offense has averaged 124.5 points in those wins.

Osceola, despite the two recent losses to Memphis, has been strong this season and holds a two-game lead over the Hustle in the standings. The Magic boast a potent offense, having scored 113 or more points in nine of their 13 games.

The matchup hinges on whether Osceola’s home court can slow the Hustle’s recent surge and if Quinones can continue his explosive scoring against a Memphis team that has recently had his number. For the Hustle, replicating their defensive intensity from Sunday’s narrow win will be key to securing a third straight victory in the season series.

Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. EST Tuesday at Silver Spurs Arena.
