Stockton vs. Rip City
PORTLAND, Ore. (Interstat) — A Pacific Division clash featuring two of the G League’s top individual performers will highlight Monday’s slate when the Stockton Kings visit the Rip City Remix at the Chiles Center.
The Kings (8-4) enter with the better overall record, having won two straight and seven of their last nine. They are coming off a 110-98 victory over South Bay on Wednesday where forward DaQuan Jeffries posted a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Jeffries has been a consistent force for Stockton, averaging a double-double over his last three contests.
They will face a Rip City squad (6-5) looking to rebound from a defensive collapse, a 174-146 home loss to Salt Lake City on Thursday. Despite the defeat, guard Sean Pedulla erupted for a season-high 38 points, adding eight rebounds and four assists in that outing. Pedulla has shown explosive scoring potential, averaging over 20 points per game in his last four appearances.
Stockton’s success has been built on balance. In their recent win, center Dylan Cardwell dominated the glass with 17 rebounds, while point guard Isaiah Stevens facilitated with eight assists. The Kings have scored at least 110 points in eight of their 12 games this season.
The Remix counter with offensive firepower of their own, having surpassed 130 points in four of their last five games. Alongside Pedulla, forward Blake Hinson has been a key contributor, coming off a 28-point, 9-rebound performance against Salt Lake City.
This game marks the first of three consecutive meetings between the teams this month. They will face each other again in Stockton on Dec. 27 and 28, adding a potential playoff-series intensity to this early-season matchup.
Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. PST at the University of Portland’s Chiles Center.
