Greensboro vs. College Park

Preview: Greensboro Swarm at College Park Skyhawks

ATLANTA (Interstat) — A surging Greensboro Swarm squad will look to extend its winning streak against a struggling College Park Skyhawks team when the G League foes meet Friday at Gateway Center.

The Swarm (8-4) enter on a three-game win streak, including a dominant 118-91 victory over Westchester on Dec. 7. Guard Terrell Brown led the charge in that contest, scoring 27 points in 35 minutes. Brown has been a key catalyst for Greensboro, averaging 22.3 points over his last three games and showcasing high-level playmaking throughout the season.

Conversely, the Skyhawks (4-7) have lost four of their last six, though they are coming off a 114-107 overtime road win against Long Island on Dec. 9. Forward Eli N’Diaye posted a double-double in that victory with 17 points and 13 rebounds. N’Diaye has been a consistent force on the glass, recording double-doubles in three of his last five appearances.

The teams’ season trajectories have diverged sharply. Greensboro’s offense has been potent, scoring 124 points or more in four of its eight wins. College Park has faced defensive challenges, allowing 117 points or more in six of its seven losses.

Interstat’s game simulator projects a lopsided affair, favoring Greensboro 127-100.

For the Swarm, support for Brown comes from forwards Eric Dixon and Jaylen Sims, who combined for 36 points and 14 rebounds in the last outing. The Skyhawks will rely on N’Diaye’s interior presence and the perimeter scoring of Javan Johnson and M.J. Walker, who combined for 49 points in the overtime win at Long Island.

This is the first of a quick two-game set between the teams, who will reconvene at Gateway Center on Sunday.

Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. EST.
