Osceola vs. Oklahoma City
Preview: Osceola Magic at Oklahoma City Blue
OKLAHOMA CITY (Interstat) — The Osceola Magic look to complete a two-game road sweep of the Oklahoma City Blue when the G League teams meet again Saturday at Cox Convention Center.
Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. local time.
The Magic (7-3) dominated the first matchup Thursday, winning 113-101 behind a strong performance from center Orlando Robinson. Osceola has won three of its last four games and sits near the top of the league standings.
Robinson, a player to watch, is coming off a 23-point, 9-rebound, 3-block effort against the Blue. Over his last seven games, he is averaging a double-double, demonstrating consistent production in the paint.
The Blue (4-6), meanwhile, seeks to halt a three-game skid and gain revenge on its home floor. Guard Anthony Pritchard, who posted 14 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists in Thursday’s loss, will be key to orchestrating a turnaround. Oklahoma City has struggled defensively, allowing an average of 110.3 points during its losing streak.
Osceola’s offense, which has scored 110 or more points in eight of ten games this season, will test that Blue defense again. Supporting contributors like Lester Quinones and Ja’Vonte Smart, who combined for 38 points on Thursday, provide perimeter balance to Robinson’s interior presence.
For Oklahoma City, finding an answer for Robinson is paramount. Chris Youngblood (20 points) and Brooks Barnhizer (23 points) provided scoring punch last game and will need repeat performances to keep pace.
This is the final meeting between the teams in the regular season. Following this contest, Osceola travels to face Memphis on Dec. 11, while Oklahoma City hosts Birmingham the same day.
