Maine vs. Westchester

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (Interstat) — The Westchester Knicks will look to snap a five-game losing streak and avoid a weekend sweep when they host the surging Maine Celtics in a G League matchup Sunday at Westchester County Center.

The Knicks (1-5) are reeling after a 98-84 loss to these same Celtics on Friday night. Their only victory this season came on Nov. 22 against the Capital City Go-Go.

Conversely, the Celtics (5-3) have won five of their last six games, with their only loss in that stretch a 14-point road defeat to Raptors 905 on Nov. 12. Maine’s offense has been potent, scoring over 120 points in four of its wins, including a 129-point performance against Delaware on Nov. 23.

Friday’s contest saw Maine control the game, handing Westchester its fourth consecutive loss at home. The Knicks have struggled defensively, allowing an average of 115.8 points per game during their current skid.

Following Sunday’s game, Westchester begins a three-game road trip at College Park on Wednesday. Maine returns home for a two-game set against College Park on Dec. 6 and 7.
