Greensboro vs. Capital City
WASHINGTON (Interstat) — The Greensboro Swarm and Capital City Go-Go will complete a quick-turnaround home-and-home set Sunday when they meet at CareFirst Arena, just two days after a thrilling overtime contest.
Capital City (4-3) edged Greensboro (5-4) 109-107 on the road Friday night. The Swarm will be looking to avenge that narrow loss and snap a two-game skid.
In Friday’s matchup, the Go-Go were led by a standout performance from Alondes Williams, who logged 32 points and eight assists in 41 minutes. Center Skal Labissiere added 25 points and six blocks.
Greensboro’s effort was paced by P.J. Hall, who recorded a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds, and Antonio Reeves, who scored a team-high 22 points. The Swarm have shown offensive firepower this season, including a 145-point outing against Delaware on Nov. 15, but have lost three of their last four games.
Capital City has won two of its last three and will look to protect its home court to move above .500. The Go-Go are 2-1 at home this season.
Following this contest, the Go-Go hit the road for a two-game series at Raptors 905, while the Swarm return home to host Westchester next Friday.
