Oklahoma City vs. Austin

AUSTIN, Texas (Interstat) — The surging Austin Spurs, owners of the best record in the G League, will put their six-game home winning streak on the line Friday when they host the Oklahoma City Blue at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park.

Austin (7-1) has been dominant to start the season, averaging 122.5 points per game during its current homestand. The Spurs are coming off a 118-100 victory over Rio Grande Valley on Monday, powered by a 27-point performance from Jayden Nunn and a 15-point, 15-rebound double-double from Micah Potter.

They will face an Oklahoma City Blue squad (4-3) that has found its rhythm after a slow start, winning three of its last four games. The Blue are fresh off a 114-84 blowout of Memphis on Tuesday, a game in which forward Brooks Barnhizer recorded a triple-double with 10 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists.

The matchup features a clash of styles, with Austin’s high-powered offense tested by an Oklahoma City defense that has held two of its last three opponents under 110 points. The Blue have shown resilience, winning their last two games on the road in overtime and by a narrow two-point margin.

Friday’s contest is the first of a two-game set between the teams in Central Texas, with a rematch scheduled for Sunday at the same venue.
