Motor City Cruise vs. Noblesville Boom
NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (Interstat) — The Noblesville Boom, propelled by a dynamic performance from point guard RayJ Dennis, secured a decisive 104-88 victory over the Motor City Cruise in a G League contest Sunday at the Arena at Innovation Mile.
The win provided a measure of revenge for the Boom, who fell to the Cruise just one day prior, and marked only their second victory of the season, improving their record to 2-7. Motor City’s record evened at 4-4 with the loss.
Noblesville established control early and never truly relented, leading by as many as 18 points. The Boom’s offense operated with consistent efficiency, scoring at least 25 points in every quarter. They built a 51-45 lead by halftime and effectively put the game out of reach with a 28-point third quarter, stretching their advantage to 79-69.
Dennis was the catalyst for the Boom, orchestrating the offense with a game-high in points and assists while also contributing significantly on the defensive end with multiple steals. His ability to penetrate and create opportunities for himself and his teammates kept the Cruise defense off-balance throughout the evening.
He received ample support, particularly from DaJuan Gordon, who provided a reliable scoring punch and tenacious rebounding. Gabe McGlothan anchored the interior for Noblesville, contributing key baskets and controlling the defensive glass.
For Motor City, Wendell Moore led the scoring effort, demonstrating his versatility with drives to the basket and playmaking. Isaac Jones was a force inside for the Cruise, battling for rebounds and scoring in the paint, while Brice Williams provided additional offensive sparks.
Despite these individual efforts, the Cruise struggled to find a sustained rhythm against a determined Noblesville defense. Motor City’s offense was often stagnant, and they were unable to mount a significant run to close the gap in the second half, with the Boom consistently answering every push.
The game was the second of a back-to-back set between the two teams, splitting the series. Noblesville will look to build on this momentum when they host the Wisconsin Herd on Nov. 30. Motor City returns home to face the same Wisconsin team on Tuesday, Nov. 25.
