Greensboro vs. Long Island
UNIONDALE, N.Y. (Interstat) — The surging Greensboro Swarm visit the struggling Long Island Nets in a G League matchup on Saturday at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
Greensboro (4-1) enters the contest with one of the league’s best records, its only blemish a 124-119 home loss to Raptors 905 on Wednesday. Despite the defeat, guard Terrell Brown turned in a strong performance with 25 points, six assists, five rebounds and two blocks. Tidjane Salaun added a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
The Swarm’s offense has been potent, averaging over 130 points per game in their four victories this season.
Long Island (1-3) looks to rebound from a 127-116 road loss to Maine last Saturday. Center Danny Wolf led the Nets in that contest with 26 points and eight rebounds, while Jeenathan Williams added 24 points and eight boards. The Nets have lost three straight after a season-opening victory.
A statistical projection from Interstat forecasts a lopsided affair, simulating a 124-100 victory for the visiting Swarm.
The two teams will meet again at the Coliseum on Monday.
