Osceola vs. Austin

LEANDER, Texas (Interstat) — The Austin Spurs remained undefeated, outlasting the Osceola Magic 134-120 in a high-scoring G League affair on Wednesday night at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park.

The Spurs improved to 5-0 on the season, while the Magic fell to 4-2.

A dominant third quarter proved to be the difference for the home team. After trailing 56-59 at halftime, Austin erupted for 42 points in the period, turning a tight contest into a double-digit lead they would not relinquish. The Spurs’ offense was firing on all cylinders, overwhelming an Osceola defense that had managed to keep pace through the first two quarters.

Harrison Ingram orchestrated the Austin victory with a stellar all-around performance. The 6-foot-5 power forward filled the stat sheet with 22 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists, serving as the primary facilitator for the Spurs’ explosive attack.

He was far from alone, as Austin showcased a balanced and potent offensive arsenal. Jayden Nunn led all scorers with 31 points, adding five rebounds and three assists. Micah Potter, a 6-foot-10 center, was a force inside and out, contributing 23 points and eight rebounds. Kyle Mangas, the starting point guard, chipped in 24 points, seven rebounds and five assists, controlling the tempo for the Spurs.

Despite the loss, the Osceola Magic had several strong individual efforts. Orlando Robinson recorded a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds, also swatting three shots. Jalen Crutcher directed the Magic’s offense with 19 points and seven assists, while Ja’Vonte Smart added 20 points. Noah Penda provided a spark off the bench with 14 points and eight rebounds.

The game opened at a frantic pace, with both teams trading baskets. The first quarter ended with Osceola holding a narrow 28-27 lead, a margin that extended to just three points by halftime. The Magic’s offense was efficient, but they had no answer for Austin’s third-quarter surge, which saw the Spurs build a lead that grew as large as 18 points in the final period.

Osceola mounted a late charge, scoring 37 points in the fourth quarter, but the deficit was too large to overcome as Austin consistently answered every Magic run with timely baskets to secure the victory.

The two teams are set for a quick rematch, facing off again in Austin on Thursday night.
