Capital City vs. Long Island
UNIONDALE, N.Y. (Interstat) — The Capital City Go-Go and Long Island Nets will open their seasons Friday night at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, with both teams looking to establish an early identity in the NBA G League.
The game marks the first competitive action for both squads since their 2024-25 campaigns concluded in early April. Capital City is coming off a 115-95 road loss to the Maine Celtics on April 1, while Long Island fell 128-93 to the Cleveland Charge in its last outing on March 29.
Friday’s contest will be the first of a quick home-and-home set between the teams, who are scheduled to meet again at the Coliseum on Sunday.
The Go-Go will then begin a stretch with five of their next six games on the road. Following the back-to-back on Long Island, Capital City hosts Westchester on Nov. 12 before embarking on a two-game trip to College Park.
The Nets, after hosting Capital City twice, will hit the road for a pair of games against the Maine Celtics on Nov. 14 and 15. Long Island’s early schedule is heavily weighted with home games, with six of its next eight contests in Uniondale.
Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. EST on Friday.
