TOCOA, Honduras (Interstat) — Rony Darío Martínez Alméndarez scored twice, including a stoppage-time winner, to lift Real Sociedad to a 2-1 victory over Victoria in a Liga Nacional match Saturday at Estadio Francisco Martínez Durón.

Martínez Alméndarez opened the scoring for the hosts in the 28th minute. Victoria equalized late, but Edder Gerardo Delgado Zerón restored Real Sociedad’s lead in the 82nd minute. Martínez Alméndarez then sealed the three points with his second goal in the 95th minute. The result defied pregame projections that favored Victoria. Marlon Roberto Ramírez Arauz and Milton Núñez received yellow cards for the visitors.
