CAXIAS DO SUL, Brazil (Interstat) — Juventude defeated Sao Jose RS 1-0 in a club friendly match Friday at Centro de Formação de Atletas do Juventude.

Forward Uroš Đurđević scored the game’s only goal, securing the win for the home side. The result defied a pregame projection from Interstat’s simulator, which had forecast a 1-0 victory for the visitors. Its ELO system, however, had given Juventude a 67.1% probability to win.

The match featured a flurry of yellow cards late in the second half, with five issued between the 85th and 86th minutes alone. The victory gives Juventude a winning start to its campaign in the Club Friendlies competition, while Sao Jose RS begins with a loss.
