Juventude Set for Friendly Clash with Sao Jose RS

CAXIAS DO SUL, Brazil (Interstat) — Brazilian sides Juventude and Sao Jose RS will meet in a club friendly Friday at the Centro de Formação de Atletas do Juventude.

The match, organized as part of World Club Friendlies, serves as a preseason tune-up for both clubs from Rio Grande do Sul state.

Juventude enters the contest following a lengthier break. Its most recent result was a 1-1 home draw against Bahia in Serie A play on Nov. 28, 2025. The club faces a congested schedule, with matches against Vitória and Ituano slated for Saturday and Sunday, respectively.

Sao Jose RS has been more active, falling 2-1 to Goiatuba EC in a road match on Aug. 9, 2025.

Projections for Friday’s match present a conflicting outlook. Interstat’s game simulator forecasts a 1-0 victory for the visitors, Sao Jose RS. However, the same outlet’s ELO rating system calculates Juventude with a 67.10% probability to win, heavily favoring the top-flight side against its lower-division opponent.

The friendly offers Juventude manager Armando Gonçalves a final chance to evaluate his squad ahead of a rapid succession of official matches. For Sao Jose RS, it represents a significant test against a superior opponent.

Kickoff is set for Friday evening local time. No broadcast information was immediately available.
