ALEXANDRIA, Egypt (Interstat) — John Ebuka scored twice and Mahmoud Alaa added a goal as El Ittihad SC El Iskandary defeated Ismaily SC 3-0 Saturday at Borg el-Arab Stadium in the Egyptian Premier League season opener. Ebuka netted in the 68th and 81st minutes, both from the right side. Alaa opened the scoring in the 45th minute from the left. Khaled Abdelfattah, Mostafa Ibrahim, Mohamed Nasr, Mahmoud Emad, Abdelrahman El Dah, Mohamed Hassan and Khalid Al Nabrisi each recorded an assist. Seven yellow cards were issued: Mahmoud Emad in the fourth minute, Khaled Abdelfattah in the 37th, Khalid Al Nabrisi in first-half stoppage time, Mohamed Hassan in the 45th plus 2, Abdelrahman El Dah in the 57th, Mostafa Ibrahim in the 59th and Mohamed Nasr in the 80th. El Ittihad improved to 1-0 across all competitions, while Ismaily dropped to 0-1.
