ALEXANDRIA, Egypt (Interstat) — Two Egyptian Premier League sides desperate to reverse recent form meet Saturday when El Ittihad SC El Iskandary hosts Ismaily SC at a venue to be determined.

The match is scheduled for May 23, 2026.

Both teams enter the fixture on the heels of defeats.

El Ittihad (7-7-9) fell 1-0 at Ghazl El Mahalla SC on Monday, its second loss in three matches. The Alexandria-based side has managed just one win in its last five outings — a 1-0 victory at Tala’ea El Gaish on May 13.

Ismaily (5-8-10) played to a scoreless draw against ZED on Sunday, extending its winless streak to four matches. The club from Ismailia has not scored in three consecutive games, a drought of 270 minutes. Its last goal came May 12 in a 2-1 loss at Wadi Degla SC.

The recent head-to-head record favors El Ittihad. The home team won the most recent meeting, a 1-0 result at Ismaily on Aug. 19, 2025.

Ismaily’s offensive struggles have been a season-long concern. The club has been shut out in seven of its last 10 league matches, managing just three goals in that span — all in losses.

El Ittihad has shown more attacking intent but has been inconsistent. After a run of three straight matches without a goal in late April, the side scored in consecutive contests against ZED (a 2-1 win) and Haras El Hodood SC (a 2-2 draw) before being blanked in its last two outings.

Defensively, El Ittihad has been vulnerable, conceding 12 goals in its last five matches. Ismaily has allowed just four goals over its last five.
