Getafe vs Osasuna
MADRID (Interstat) — Getafe hosts Osasuna on Saturday in a La Liga matchup with both teams looking to snap losing streaks and climb the Spanish top-flight table.
Getafe (9-10-8, 37 points) enters the May 23 contest at Coliseum Alfonso Pérez after a 1-0 loss at Elche on May 17, its second defeat in three matches. The Azulones managed only one victory in their past five games: a 3-1 home win over Mallorca on May 13. That result broke a three-match winless run that included a scoreless draw at Real Oviedo and a 2-0 home loss to Rayo Vallecano.
Manager José Bordalás’ side has been resilient defensively at home, posting four clean sheets in their last six league games in Getafe. However, scoring has been a challenge: the team has been held scoreless in three of its past four outings. The lone goal in that span came from striker Borja Mayoral in the Mallorca victory. Getafe is 5-4-4 at home this season, with 12 goals scored and nine conceded.
Osasuna (8-11-10, 35 points) arrives on a four-match losing streak, the latest a 2-1 defeat at home to Espanyol on May 17. The Pamplona side has lost five of its past six contests, with the lone positive result a 2-2 draw at Mallorca on March 7. The slide includes losses to Atlético Madrid, Levante, Barcelona and Athletic Bilbao, and a 2-2 tie at Deportivo Alavés.
Manager Jagoba Arrasate’s squad has struggled on the road, winning only twice away from El Sadar Stadium this season (1-4-8). Osasuna has conceded 28 goals in 13 away matches, the third-worst defensive record in La Liga. The team’s attack has been inconsistent; striker Ante Budimir leads with nine league goals, but the side has scored just once in its past three games.
In the most recent head-to-head meeting, Osasuna defeated Getafe 2-1 on Oct. 3, 2025, in Pamplona. That result extended Getafe’s winless run against Osasuna to three matches (0-1-2). The last time Getafe beat Osasuna at home was a 2-0 victory in February 2024.
Interstat’s game simulator projects a 1-0 win for Getafe, a result that would move the hosts level on points with the middle of the table while dropping Osasuna further into a battle against relegation.
Kickoff is set for 9 p.m. local time (CEST).
