HONG KONG (Interstat) — Ruslan Mingazow scored twice and Yu Ōkubo netted a hat trick as Kitchee and Eastern played to a 4-4 draw Sunday in a Hong Kong Premier League match at Tseung Kwan O Sports Ground.

Mingazow put the home side ahead in the seventh minute, but Ōkubo equalized for Eastern in the 24th minute. Mingazow restored Kitchee’s lead a minute later, and Gondra extended the advantage to 3-1 in the 36th minute. Ōkubo pulled one back for Eastern in the 40th minute to make the score 3-2 at halftime.

Martín Merquelanz gave Kitchee a 4-2 lead in the 73rd minute. Revi cut the deficit to 4-3 for Eastern in the 80th minute. Ōkubo completed his hat trick in the fifth minute of second-half stoppage time to level the match.

Kitchee’s league record stands at 16 wins, no losses and four draws. Their overall record across all competitions is 16 wins, one loss and four draws. Eastern’s league record is seven wins, seven losses and five draws. Their overall record is eight wins, seven losses and five draws.

Kitchee had won the two previous meetings between the sides, including a 2-1 victory at home on March 21. Eastern’s last win in the series came in August 2025.

Interstat’s game simulator had projected a final score of Kitchee 2, Eastern 1. Interstat’s ELO system had projected Kitchee with an 83 percent probability to win.
