MIXCO, Guatemala (Interstat) — Rodrigo Saravia and Pedro Altán scored second-half goals Wednesday as Municipal defeated Mixco 2-0 at Estadio Santo Domingo, snapping a three-game losing streak to its Liga Nacional rival.

Saravia put Municipal ahead in the 52nd minute and Altán doubled the lead in the 74th. The victory improved Municipal’s record to 24 wins, 13 losses and 16 draws in all competitions. Mixco fell to 24 wins, 12 losses and 13 draws. Both teams entered with identical 24-win totals.

Municipal had lost the previous three meetings, including a 1-0 decision at Mixco on March 4. The visitors came off a 3-0 defeat at Cobán Imperial on May 2, while Mixco lost 3-0 at Antigua GFC the same day.

The game was played at the stadium in Mixco. No other details were released.
