NAMUNGO, Tanzania (Interstat) — Namungo and Mashujaa FC, two sides searching for consistency in the Ligi kuu Bara, meet on Friday, May 8, 2026, in a mid-table clash that the Interstat game simulator projects as a 1-1 draw.

Both teams enter the match on the back of defeats. Namungo fell 1-0 at Azam FC on Tuesday, May 5, extending a winless run that stretches four matches. Their last victory came Feb. 26 against Singida Black Stars, a stretch that includes two losses and two draws. The home side has dropped five of its last nine league contests.

Mashujaa FC arrives after a 1-0 victory at TRA United SC on Monday, May 4, snapping a five-match winless streak in which they managed just two goals. Prior to that win, Mashujaa FC had drawn four consecutive games — against Mbeya City (0-0), Singida Black Stars (1-1), Pamba Jiji (0-0) and Azam FC (0-0) — before falling to defeat.

The head-to-head record favors the visitors. Mashujaa FC earned a 1-0 victory in the most recent meeting Oct. 25, 2025, in Namungo. That result extended Mashujaa FC’s form against Namungo, though the teams have not played frequently this season.

Namungo has struggled to generate offense recently, scoring just once in its last four games while conceding five. The defensive record has been mixed: clean sheets against Dodoma Jiji and Singida Black Stars bookend heavy losses to Simba (3-1) and TRA United SC (2-0). Forward production remains a concern for a team that has managed multiple goals only once in its past 10 outings.

Mashujaa FC’s defense has been stout, allowing just one goal over its past five matches. The attacking side, however, has been equally limited, with the team scoring only twice in that span. The visitors have not won consecutive games since early February.

After Friday, Mashujaa FC travels to Singida Fountain Gate FC on May 14, then hosts Kinondoni Municipal Council FC on May 20. Namungo plays at Singida Black Stars on May 12 before visiting Kinondoni Municipal Council FC two days later.

The match is scheduled for Friday evening.
