CREMONA, Italy (Interstat) — Lazio defeated US Cremonese 2-1 on Monday at Stadio Giovanni Zini in a Serie A season opener. Gustav Isaksen scored the equalizer in the 53rd minute off an assist from Nuno Tavares. Tavares later set up Tijjani Noslin’s 90th-minute winner. Oliver Nielsen also recorded an assist.

Federico Bonazzoli opened the scoring for Cremonese in the 29th minute. Yellow cards were issued to Matteo Bianchetti in the 21st, Nielsen in the 40th, Tommaso Barbieri in the 76th and Tavares in the 88th.

Lazio improved to 1-0 across all competitions. Cremonese fell to 0-1. The match featured a late comeback from Lazio to spoil Cremonese’s home debut.
