US Cremonese vs Lazio

CREMONA, Italy (Interstat) — Lazio rallied from a first-half deficit to defeat US Cremonese 2-1 on Monday at Stadio Giovanni Zini, earning their 16th Serie A win of the season.

Federico Bonazzoli put the home side ahead in the 29th minute with an early strike. The goal came after a sequence that began with Oliver Nielsen providing the assist, the first of two assists on the afternoon for the substitute midfielder. Cremonese held the lead into halftime, but Lazio’s bench proved decisive.

Substitute Gustav Isaksen equalized in the 53rd minute, slotting home from close range after a pass from fellow substitute Nuno Tavares. Tavares, who entered the match later in the second half, recorded the assist on the tying goal. Isaksen’s goal was his first of the season in Serie A.

The match remained level until stoppage time. In the second minute of added time, Tijjani Noslin, who had come on as a substitute earlier in the second half, scored the winner for Lazio. The goal sent the visiting supporters into celebration and handed Lazio three points.

The victory improved Lazio’s Serie A record to 16 wins, 12 losses and 14 draws. Across all competitions, Lazio now sit at 18 wins, 12 losses and 14 draws. For US Cremonese, the loss dropped their league record to 15 wins, 19 losses and 12 draws. Their overall mark across all competitions fell to 16 wins, 20 losses and 12 draws.

The result continued a mixed stretch for Lazio. In their previous five Serie A matches before Monday, Lazio had recorded two wins, two draws and one loss. They drew 3-3 at Udinese on April 27, defeated Napoli 2-0 away on April 18, lost 1-0 at Fiorentina on April 13, won 4-0 at Empoli on April 11 and drew 1-1 at home against Parma on April 4. Lazio’s form included notable wins over AC Milan and Bologna earlier in the season, but also losses to Torino and Atalanta.

For US Cremonese, the loss extended a difficult run. The home side had lost four of their previous five league matches, including a 4-0 defeat at Napoli on April 24, a 1-0 win at Torino on April 19, a 2-0 win at home against Salernitana on April 11, a 1-0 loss at Cagliari on April 11 and a 2-1 home loss to Bologna on April 5. US Cremonese had struggled to find consistency, with victories against Salernitana and Parma mixed with heavy losses to Juventus and Inter Milan earlier in the season.

Monday marked the second meeting between the two clubs this season. In the reverse fixture on Dec. 20, 2025, the sides played to a scoreless draw at Stadio Giovanni Zini.

Looking ahead, Lazio face Inter Milan in two upcoming competitions: a Serie A match at home on May 9, followed by a Super Cup clash on May 13. US Cremonese next host Pisa on May 10 in Serie A.
