FREIBURG, Germany (Interstat) — Pau Victor scored a goal and added an assist for Braga, but it was not enough as SC Freiburg earned a 3-1 Europa League victory Thursday at Europa-Park Stadion. Lukas Kübler scored twice for Freiburg, and Johan Manzambi added a goal. Demir Ege Tıknaz had an assist.

Braga played a man down after Maho Dorgelès received a red card in the sixth minute. Yellow cards were issued to Pau Victor in the 62nd, Jean Gorby in the 65th, Demir Ege Tıknaz in the 71st and Gabri Martínez in stoppage time.

Freiburg improved to 8-3-3 in the competition, while Braga fell to 8-4-4. The teams had met a week earlier, with Braga winning 2-1 in Portugal. Freiburg’s victory avenged that loss.

Kübler opened the scoring in the 19th minute. Manzambi made it 2-0 in the 41st. Kübler struck again in the 72nd, and Pau Victor pulled one back in the 79th.
