Paris Saint-Germain FC vs FC Bayern Munchen
PARIS (Interstat) — Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich will renew their European rivalry Tuesday, April 28, in a Champions League semifinal first leg at Parc des Princes, with both sides entering the match on strong runs.
The German visitors carry a 2-1 victory over PSG from Nov. 4, 2025, in the most recent head-to-head meeting. Bayern also won that group-stage match in Paris, handing PSG its only home loss of the tournament so far. Overall, the clubs have split their last six meetings, but Bayern have taken two of the past three.
Bayern arrive after a convincing 2-1 win at Real Madrid on April 7, a result that extended their winning streak to four matches in all competitions. The Bundesliga side has been prolific in the Champions League this season, outscoring opponents 22-6 through eight matches. Notable wins include a 3-1 victory at Arsenal on Nov. 26, a 4-0 rout of Club Brugge on Oct. 22, and a 3-1 triumph at Chelsea on Sept. 17. Their only Champions League loss this campaign came at Arsenal, 3-1, on Nov. 26.
PSG, meanwhile, blanked Liverpool 2-0 at home on April 8 in the quarterfinal second leg, avenging a first-leg defeat. The French champions have been formidable at Parc des Princes this season, winning six of seven home Champions League matches. Their attack, which has scored 20 goals in the tournament, is led by a dynamic front line that has produced four or more goals in three separate matches, including a 5-2 win over Chelsea on March 11 and a 5-3 thriller against Tottenham on Nov. 26.
However, PSG have also shown vulnerability away from home, losing 2-1 at Sporting CP on Jan. 20 and drawing 0-0 at Athletic Club on Dec. 10. Their last defeat in Paris came against Bayern in November.
The injury report is thin, with both teams expected to field close to full-strength lineups. Bayern’s midfield engine and PSG’s defensive organization will be key battlegrounds.
Interstat’s game simulator projects a 2-2 draw, suggesting a tight, high-scoring affair that could leave the tie wide open heading into the second leg in Munich. Kickoff is set for 9 p.m. local time.
