AUXERRE, France (Interstat) — Auxerre defeated Angers 3-1 on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at Stade de l’Abbé Deschamps in a Ligue 1 match.

Sekou Mara scored twice, netting in the 12th and 61st minutes, and Lassine Sinayoko added a goal in the 67th minute along with an assist. Goduine Koyalipou also scored for Auxerre. Carlens Arcus, Pierrick Capelle, Bryan Okoh and Mohamed Amine Sbai each provided an assist. Sbai received a yellow card in first-half stoppage time, then was sent off with a red card at the same minute. Okoh, Capelle, Sinayoko and Arcus also received yellow cards.

Angers managed one goal but could not overcome Auxerre’s attack. The victory improved Auxerre’s season record to 1-0 in all competitions, while Angers fell to 0-1.
