STRASBOURG, France (Interstat) — RC Strasbourg Alsace hosts Toulouse on Sunday, May 3, in a Ligue 1 clash at Stade de la Meinau, with both teams seeking momentum in the final weeks of the French season.
Strasbourg enters the match on a two-game losing streak across all competitions. The home side fell 1-0 at Rayo Vallecano on Thursday in a friendly, following a 3-0 league defeat at Stade Rennais on April 19. Strasbourg has managed just one win in its last six Ligue 1 outings, a 3-2 victory at Nantes on March 22. The club’s scoring struggles are evident: it has been held scoreless in three of its last four matches across all competitions.
Toulouse, meanwhile, is unbeaten in its last two league games. The visitors played to a 0-0 draw at Nice on April 19, following a 2-1 victory over Cavigal Nice U19 in a youth league match on the same day. That result snapped a two-game losing streak in Ligue 1 for Toulouse, which fell 3-2 at Racing Club de Lens on April 17 and 1-0 at Marseille on March 7.
The teams met most recently on Dec. 6, when Toulouse won 1-0 at home. The win stretched Toulouse’s head-to-head form against Strasbourg to two wins in the last three meetings.
Interstat’s game simulator projects a 1-1 draw.
Strasbourg faces a demanding schedule ahead. The club hosts Rayo Vallecano on Thursday in another friendly, then visits Angers on May 10 before hosting AS Monaco on May 17.
Toulouse also has a split schedule, with a youth league match against Colomiers U19 on Sunday before the Ligue 1 trip to Strasbourg. The club then visits Air Bel U19 on May 10 in youth league play and hosts Lyon the same day in Ligue 1. A trip to Nantes follows on May 17.
Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. local time.
