LECCE, Italy (April 20, 2026) (Interstat) — Lecce and Fiorentina opened their Serie A campaigns with a 1-1 draw Monday at Stadio Comunale Ettore Giardiniero.

Fiorentina substitute Jack Harrison opened the scoring in the 30th minute, assisted by fellow substitute Marin Pongračić. Lecce defender Tiago Gabriel equalized in the 71st, assisted by substitute Jacopo Fazzini. The result defied a pre-match projection favoring Fiorentina.

The match featured a flurry of second-half discipline, with six yellow cards issued after the 62nd minute, including one to Gabriel. Both clubs begin the season with identical records across all competitions: zero wins, zero losses and one draw.
