Modena vs Reggiana
MODENA, Italy (Interstat) — Two Serie B clubs desperate to snap losing streaks meet Friday when Modena hosts Reggiana at Stadio Alberto Braglia.
Modena enters after a 1-0 loss at AC Monza on April 24, its fourth defeat in five matches. The Canarini have managed only one win in their last six outings — a 2-1 home victory over Mantova on March 21 — and have been plagued by inconsistency. Highlights include a 3-0 home win over Spezia on March 13 and a 2-1 victory at Juve Stabia on Feb. 22, but those were overshadowed by a 3-1 loss at Bari on April 6 and a 2-2 draw at Catanzaro on April 14. Modena also settled for a 1-1 tie with Suditrol on April 11.
Reggiana also carries recent frustration. The Granata lost 1-0 at Padova on April 19, though they rebounded with a 1-1 home draw against Palermo on April 25. Still, that result followed a rough stretch: a 3-1 loss at Pescara on April 6, a 3-0 defeat at Virtus Entella on March 22, and a 4-1 loss at Bari on March 14. Bright spots include a 2-0 win at Carrarese on April 12, a 1-0 win at Spezia on Feb. 28, and a 1-0 home victory over Mantova on Feb. 10. Reggiana also played AC Monza to a scoreless draw on March 17.
The teams last met on Oct. 28, 2025, when Reggiana won 1-0 at home.
An Interstat game simulator projects a 1-1 draw — a result that would reflect the evenly matched nature of two clubs fighting for position in a crowded Serie B table. Modena will lean on its home support after posting a 3-0 shutout of Spezia last month. Reggiana, meanwhile, has shown the ability to grind out road results, including its 1-0 win at Spezia on Feb. 28 and a 1-1 draw at Empoli on Feb. 15.
Both teams are seeking consistency as the season enters its final weeks. For Modena, a victory would provide a much-needed lift after a string of close defeats. For Reggiana, avoiding consecutive losses is paramount.
Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. local time. The match will be broadcast on DAZN Italy.
