ROME (Interstat) — Robinio Vaz scored in the 57th minute to give AS Roma a 1-0 win over Lecce in a Serie A match Sunday at Stadio Olimpico. The lone goal decided a contest that national statisticians had projected to finish 2-0 in favor of Roma, who entered with a 67% win probability. The victory gives Roma a winning start to its domestic campaign, while Lecce begins its season with a defeat. The match grew increasingly tense late, with four yellow cards issued between the 77th and 90th minutes, including bookings for Lecce’s Santiago Pierotti and Danilo Veiga and Roma’s Angeliño and Niccolò Pisilli.
