COMO, Italy (March 22, 2026) (Interstat) — Como opened its Serie A season with a commanding 5-0 victory over Pisa on Sunday at Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia, far exceeding a pregame projection of a 1-1 draw.

The home side delivered a stunning first-half performance, scoring four goals before the break. Forward Assane Diao opened the scoring in the seventh minute, followed quickly by a goal from Anastasios Douvikas in the 29th. Midfielder Martin Baturina added another in the 48th.

Douvikas secured a brace with his second goal, and midfielder Nicolás Paz netted the fifth in the 75th minute. Substitute Simone Canestrelli recorded two assists. Pisa, which saw players booked in the 35th and 51st minutes, offered little response as Como began its campaign with a comprehensive win.
