CARAVAGGIO, Italy (Interstat) — Davide Angelo Ghislandi scored in the 43rd minute and Salvatore Caturano equalized in second-half stoppage time as Atalanta BC U23 and Catania played to a 1-1 draw Sunday in Serie C action at Stadio Comunale.

Catania took an early lead through Ghislandi, but Caturano’s goal in the second minute of added time rescued a point for the hosts. The result left Catania with a 16-5-10 record in the competition and 16-6-10 across all competitions. Atalanta U23 moved to 2-11-10 in league play, matching their overall mark.

The draw came after Catania’s previous contest, a 1-1 home result against Potenza Calcio on April 19. Atalanta U23 also drew 1-1 with Sorrento on the same date. The two sides met earlier this season on Dec. 21, 2025, when Catania won 2-0 at home.

Both teams remain near opposite ends of the standings, with Catania chasing promotion and Atalanta U23 fighting near the bottom of the table.
