Ghislandi broke the deadlock with a composed finish from inside the penalty area after a cross from the right flank found him unmarked. The goal was his third of the season in Serie C.

Catania pressed for an equalizer in the second half, dominating possession but struggling to break down a compact Atalanta BC U23 defense. The visitors had several opportunities, including a header that went wide in the 67th minute and a shot from distance that forced a save from the goalkeeper in the 78th minute.

Deep into stoppage time, Caturano found space in the box and slotted home a low cross from the left to level the score. The goal was his 12th of the campaign across all competitions.
