BENEVENTO, Italy (March 15, 2026) (Interstat) — Benevento opened its Serie C campaign with a narrow 1-0 victory over Foggia on Sunday at Stadio Ciro Vigorito. The lone goal came early from forward Marco Tumminello, who found the net in the 18th minute. The home side’s defense held firm for the remainder of the match to secure the win. Foggia, which was shut out, struggled to generate an equalizer. The result defied a pregame projection from Interstat, whose simulator had forecast a 1-1 draw, though its ELO system heavily favored Benevento with a 94.90 percent win probability. With the victory, Benevento starts the season 1-0, while Foggia begins 0-1.
