Benevento Looks to Extend Dominance Over Struggling Foggia in Serie C Clash

BENEVENTO, Italy (Interstat) — A surging Benevento side will host a reeling Foggia in a Serie C matchup on Sunday, looking to solidify its position near the top of the table and deepen its rival’s recent misery.

The match at the Stadio Ciro Vigorito pits two clubs on starkly different trajectories. Benevento enters with momentum, having lost just once in its last 10 league contests. It is coming off a 2-1 victory over Catania on March 5, part of a run that has seen the Stregoni (The Sorcerers) consistently find results.

Foggia, meanwhile, is mired in a brutal slump. The Satanelli have lost five of their last six matches across all competitions, including a 1-0 defeat to lowly Team Altamura on March 5. Their form has cratered since a 2-1 win over Cosenza in late November, managing only two victories in their last 13 outings.

The head-to-head history heavily favors the hosts. In their most recent meeting on Nov. 9, Benevento delivered a commanding 3-0 away victory at Foggia, a result that seems to have signaled the diverging paths of the two sides this season.

Benevento’s attack has been potent, scoring multiple goals in seven of its last ten games. Foggia’s defense has been leaky, conceding two or more goals in eight of its last thirteen matches. The statistical contrast sets a clear narrative for the fixture.

Despite the form lines, Interstat’s game simulator projects a 1-1 draw, suggesting Foggia may find a rare moment of resilience. A point on the road would be a positive result for a team desperate to stop its slide.

For Benevento, the game is a critical opportunity to bank points before a challenging stretch that includes upcoming matches against contenders Cosenza and Salernitana. For Foggia, it is a chance for redemption and to begin climbing away from the lower reaches of the Serie C table.

Kickoff is scheduled for Sunday afternoon local time. The match will be played under Serie C regulations, with three points awarded for a victory.
