Partizani Tirana vs Vora
Preview: Partizani Tirana Hosts Vora in Albanian Superliga Clash
TIRANA, Albania (Interstat) — Partizani Tirana will host Vora on Thursday in an Albanian Superliga match at the Arena Kombëtare, with both sides seeking momentum after inconsistent runs of form.
The matchup is a rematch of a scoreless draw from Nov. 4 in Vora. In their other meeting this season, Partizani earned a 1-0 home victory on Aug. 24. The statistical service Interstat projects another tight affair, simulating a 1-1 draw for Thursday’s contest.
Partizani (6-5-4) enters having not played a competitive match since a 3-1 home loss to FC Dinamo City on Dec. 23. That defeat snapped a modest two-game winning streak that included victories over Flamurtari and KF Tirana. Their form at home has been mixed, with two wins, two draws and a loss in their last five league outings in Tirana.
Vora (4-6-5) comes off a 2-0 road defeat to Teuta Durrës on Jan. 10. That loss highlighted Vora’s primary struggle: a lack of goals. The club has been shut out in four of its last five matches, with a 4-1 win over Bylis on Dec. 24 being the lone offensive bright spot in that span. Their road record is particularly concerning, with just one win in their last seven away from home.
Historically, Partizani has held the upper hand at home against Vora and will look to capitalize on its opponent’s scoring woes. Vora’s defense, however, has proven stubborn, keeping clean sheets in two of the last three head-to-head meetings.
The result could have implications for the middle of the Superliga table. Partizani will look to solidify its position among the league’s upper half, while Vora aims to distance itself from the lower reaches.
Following Thursday’s match, Partizani will prepare to host Teuta Durrës on Jan. 19. Vora’s next fixture is a home match against KF Tirana on Jan. 19.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. local time at Arena Kombëtare.
