Tijuana vs Pachuca
TIJUANA, Mexico (Interstat) — A surging Pachuca side riding a four-game winning streak will face a Tijuana team looking to reclaim its home-stand advantage in a key Liga MX clash Wednesday night at Estadio Caliente.
The match pits two of the league’s hottest offenses against each other. Pachuca (8-3-4) has been a juggernaut lately, averaging 3.25 goals per game during its current run. That streak includes a statement 3-1 road victory over Monterrey on April 18 and a 2-1 home win against Tigres UANL on April 19.
Tijuana (6-5-4), however, has shown it can both score in bunches and stifle Pachuca’s attack. In their most recent meeting on Aug. 16, 2025, Tijuana secured a 2-0 away victory. The Xolos are also fresh off a stunning 7-2 demolition of Toluca on April 18, though they followed it with a 1-1 draw at Cruz Azul later that same day, revealing some inconsistency.
Pachuca’s defense, which conceded four goals in its last two matches despite winning, will be tested by a Tijuana attack that has netted 11 times in its past three league outings. Tijuana’s home form has been mixed, with a win, a draw and a loss in its last three at Estadio Caliente.
The statistical service Interstat projects a 1-1 draw, suggesting a tightly contested match. History provides no clear guide; while Tijuana won the last head-to-head, Pachuca’s current form presents a vastly different challenge.
Both teams will look to use this match as a springboard into a busy stretch. Pachuca will host Pumas UNAM on Saturday, April 25. Tijuana will travel to face Guadalajara the same day.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. local time (10:05 p.m. EDT).
