Preview: America Hosts Toluca in Liga MX Clash

MEXICO CITY (Interstat) — Club America looks to reverse a recent result against Toluca when the sides meet in a Liga MX match Saturday.

The game is scheduled for April 18, 2026, with America as the designated home team.

The visiting Diablos Rojos of Toluca won the most recent head-to-head meeting, a 2-0 victory at home on Nov. 8, 2025. Toluca enters this match following a 1-1 draw with Atletico San Luis last Sunday.

America, known as Las Águilas, is coming off a 2-0 midweek loss to Juárez on Wednesday. Their form has been mixed, with a win, a draw and a loss in their last three league outings.

Toluca’s recent league form shows struggles, with a draw and two losses in its last three matches. Those included a 1-0 defeat at Queretaro and a 4-1 loss at León, both on April 4. The team’s last Liga MX victory was a 3-2 win at Pumas UNAM on March 3.

America’s attack has shown potency, including a 4-2 victory at León on April 10, but has also been held scoreless twice in its last five matches.

The Interstat game simulator projects a 1-1 draw for Saturday’s contest.

Following this match, America will visit León next Tuesday. Toluca’s next fixture is at Mazatlan next Wednesday.
