Tigres UANL vs Guadalajara

Preview: Tigres UANL Hosts Guadalajara in Liga MX Clash

MONTERREY, Mexico (Interstat) — Two of Mexico’s most popular clubs, Tigres UANL and Guadalajara, meet Saturday in a Liga MX match at Estadio Universitario with both teams looking to reverse recent stumbles.

The showdown, set for April 11, 2026, pits a slumping Tigres side against a Guadalajara team seeking consistency after a mixed run of form.

Tigres (6-7-1) enters on a three-match losing streak across all competitions, having failed to score in any of those defeats. Most recently, they fell 1-0 at home to Querétaro on April 5. Before that skid, they had shown flashes of dominance, including a 4-1 rout of Club América and a 5-1 thrashing of Santos Laguna. Their attack, however, has gone cold at a critical point in the season.

Guadalajara (7-5-3) is coming off a 2-2 home draw with Pumas UNAM on April 5. That result interrupted a potent three-game winning streak in league play where they outscored opponents 11-2. Their form has been erratic, with impressive victories over Monterrey and Club América bookended by losses to Toluca and Cruz Azul.

The most recent head-to-head meeting between these giants ended in a 0-0 draw at Guadalajara on Sept. 17, 2025.

A statistical projection from Interstat forecasts a 1-1 draw for Saturday’s contest.

For Tigres, the focus will be on reigniting an offense that has suddenly stalled. Manager Robert Dante Siboldi will demand a response from his veteran squad in front of their home supporters. Guadalajara, managed by Fernando Gago, will rely on an attack that has proven it can score in bunches, but must improve its results on the road.

The match carries significant weight for the league table, with both clubs aiming to secure a stronger position for the postseason. Guadalajara currently holds a slight edge in the standings.

Following this match, Tigres will visit Necaxa on April 18. Guadalajara will host Pachuca later on Saturday, April 11, in a rescheduled fixture.
