Pachuca vs Necaxa
Preview: Pachuca Hosts Necaxa in Liga MX Clash
MEXICO CITY (Interstat) — Two Liga MX sides seeking momentum will meet Tuesday when Pachuca hosts Necaxa at Estadio Hidalgo.
The match, scheduled for March 3, 2026, pits a Pachuca side looking to rebound from a surprise loss against a Necaxa team mired in a prolonged slump.
Pachuca (3-2-1 in last six domestic matches) enters off a 1-0 away defeat to Mazatlan on Feb. 27. Prior to that, the Tuzos showed strong form with a road win over Tigres UANL and a home victory against Atlas in February.
Necaxa’s struggles are more pronounced. The Rayos have lost four consecutive Liga MX matches, most recently a 2-1 defeat at Leon on Feb. 28. Their defense has been a critical weakness, conceding three goals to Toluca and two to Club America during this skid. The team has not won in the league since a 4-1 victory over Santos Laguna on Oct. 31, 2025.
The recent head-to-head history favors the hosts. Pachuca earned a 1-0 victory at Necaxa in their most recent meeting on Oct. 3, 2025.
Interstat’s game simulator projects a 1-1 draw for Tuesday’s contest.
For Necaxa, the match represents a crucial opportunity to halt its negative slide before hosting Pumas UNAM on March 6. Pachuca will aim to reclaim winning ways ahead of its home fixture against Club Puebla on March 7.
Kickoff is set for 9 p.m. local time.
