Hazard’s Late Brace Powers Anderlecht to Victory Over Zultearegem
WAREHEM, Belgium (Interstat) — Thorgan Hazard came off the bench to score twice, leading Anderlecht to a 4-2 victory over Zultearegem in a Belgian First Division A match Sunday at Elindus Arena.
The visitors surged ahead with two goals in two minutes late in the first half. Hazard opened the scoring in the 41st minute, followed immediately by Ilay Camara’s goal in the 43rd. Zultearegem’s Anosike Ementa cut the deficit to 2-1 in the 53rd minute.
Hazard secured his brace in the 85th minute to restore a two-goal cushion before Zultearegem’s Marley Aké scored in stoppage time. Anderlecht’s final goal, credited as an own goal, completed the scoring. The result exceeded the projection of Interstat’s simulator, which had forecast a 2-1 Anderlecht win.
