Zultearegem vs Anderlecht
BRUSSELS (Interstat) — A struggling Anderlecht side will look to reverse its recent fortunes and avenge a painful early-season defeat when it visits Zultearegem in Belgium’s First Division A on Sunday.
The matchup at the Regenboogstadion pits a home team finding modest form against a visiting giant mired in a significant slump. Anderlecht, one of the country’s most decorated clubs, enters the contest winless in its last five league matches (0-3-2). Its last victory came on Nov. 30, 2025. Most recently, the Brussels-based club was held to a 0-0 draw by lowly Louviere Centre on Feb. 15.
Zultearegem, meanwhile, earned a 1-0 home victory over Dender in its last outing on Feb. 7. That result provided a boost after a mixed run of form that included a narrow 4-3 loss to powerhouse Club Brugge and a 2-1 win over Genk in January.
The head-to-head history will fuel the hosts’ confidence. In their last meeting on Aug. 10, 2025, Zultearegem pulled off a dramatic 3-2 away victory at Anderlecht’s Lotto Park.
Anderlecht’s current woes are stark. The team has scored just one goal in its last four league games and has suffered heavy defeats this season, including a 4-0 loss to Westerlo and a 4-2 defeat to Gent. Its defense has been breached multiple times in several matches.
Zultearegem has shown both resilience and vulnerability, with its games often high-scoring. Its matchup against Club Brugge produced seven goals, and it has both won and lost tight encounters recently.
According to Interstat’s game simulator, Anderlecht is projected to break its poor run with a 2-1 victory on Sunday. The simulation suggests a close contest with the visitors ultimately edging it.
Following this game, Anderlecht faces a quick turnaround with a home match against Sporting Oud-Heverlee on Feb. 28, followed by a crucial double-header against Club Brugge in early March. Zultearegem’s next league fixture is not until a trip to Gent on March 13.
Kickoff is scheduled for Sunday afternoon, Feb. 22, 2026, in Waregem.
