MANAMA, Bahrain (Interstat) — Al Riffa secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Bahrain SC in a Bahrain Premier League match Friday at Madinat ’Isa Stadium.

The lone goal was enough for the visiting side to claim all three points against a struggling home team. The result extends Al Riffa’s strong league form, improving its record to eight wins, one loss and three draws this season. Bahrain SC’s difficulties continued, dropping to just one win in 11 league matches.

The match defied the pregame projection from Interstat, which had simulated a 2-1 win for Al Riffa and gave the club a 77.3% probability of victory. Al Riffa’s next league fixture is Jan. 24 against Al Hidd, while Bahrain SC hosts Sitra on Jan. 15.
