Preview: Al Riffa Looks to Extend Win Streak Against Bahrain SC

MANAMA, Bahrain (Interstat) — A surging Al Riffa side will look to continue its climb up the table when it visits struggling Bahrain SC in a Bahrain Premier League match on Friday, Jan. 9, 2026.

The visitors enter the contest in strong form, having won three consecutive league matches. Most recently, Al Riffa defeated Malkiya 2-0 at home on Saturday. That followed a 1-0 road win at Al Shabab and a 2-0 home victory over Al Ahli in late December.

Al Riffa’s recent defensive solidity has been key, recording clean sheets in its last two outings. The club’s form has been inconsistent at times this season, however, with notable results including a 2-0 loss to Al Khaldiya and a 2-1 defeat at Al Seeb in November.

Bahrain SC, meanwhile, seeks to halt a slide after a 2-1 away loss to Al Najma last Saturday. The club has found positive results scarce, with just one win in its last seven league matches—a 1-0 home victory over A’ali CSC on Oct. 30. Defensive issues have plagued the side, which has conceded three or more goals in four of those seven games.

Following this contest, Al Riffa’s next scheduled league game is at home against Al Hidd on Jan. 24. Bahrain SC faces a quicker turnaround, hosting Sitra in league play on Jan. 15.
