TRÍPOLI, Greece (Interstat) — Atromitos opened its Super League 1 season with a 2-1 comeback victory over Asteras Tripolis on Saturday, defying pregame projections.

The visitors conceded first at Stadio Theodoros Kolokotronis when Asteras substitute Mansur scored in the 27th minute. Atromitos responded before halftime, with substitute Denzhel Jubitana equalizing in the 41st. Forward Julián Bartolo netted the decisive goal in the 79th minute, assisted by Julián Chicco.

The result was an upset. Statistical models heavily favored Asteras Tripolis, projecting a 72.7% win probability and a 1-1 draw. The loss marks a disappointing start for the home side in league play.
