TRÍPOLI, Greece (Interstat) — Luka Jović came off the bench to score the decisive goal, lifting AEK Athens to a 1-0 victory over Asteras Tripolis in a Super League 1 match Saturday at Stadio Theodoros Kolokotronis.

Jović broke the deadlock in the 38th minute, converting a chance created by fellow substitute Llazaros Rota. The goal held as the game’s only score despite a flurry of second-half yellow cards, with six issued in total.

The win strengthens AEK Athens’s position near the top of the table, improving its league record to 14-2-2. Asteras Tripolis, struggling near the bottom, fell to 2-8-7 with the home defeat. AEK Athens has now won both meetings between the clubs this season.
