Preview: OFI Hosts Asteras Tripolis in Super League 1 Clash

HERAKLION, Greece (Interstat) — OFI will look to build on a recent victory over the same opponent when it hosts Asteras Tripolis in a Greek Super League 1 match on Sunday, Jan. 11, 2026.

The fixture is a quick rematch, as OFI defeated Asteras Tripolis 2-0 at home this past Wednesday. That result snapped a four-match winless streak across all competitions for OFI and avenged a 3-0 loss at Asteras Tripolis on Nov. 3.

Form has been divergent for the two sides. OFI’s midweek win was a bright spot in a mixed run that includes heavy losses to league powers Olympiakos and AEK Athens, but also featured a 3-0 victory over Panserraikos in December.

Asteras Tripolis, meanwhile, arrives mired in a significant slump. The loss to OFI was its third consecutive defeat in all competitions, following 1-0 losses to Anagen Karditsas and Aris Thessalonikis in late December. The club has failed to score in its last three matches.

According to Interstat’s game simulator, the contest is projected to end in a 1-1 draw.

The match will be the first of a challenging stretch for both teams. OFI faces a quick turnaround with a visit to league leader AEK Athens on Wednesday, Jan. 14. Asteras Tripolis must prepare to host defending champion Olympiakos on Saturday, Jan. 17.

Sunday’s game will be played at the Theodoros Vardinogiannis Stadium in Heraklion.
