AL-ISKANDARIYYA, Egypt (Interstat) — Pharco opened its Egyptian Cup campaign with a 2-0 victory over Telephonaat Beni on Sunday at Haras El-Hodod Stadium. Midfielder Marwan Magdi opened the scoring in the 46th minute, assisted by Yassine El Mallah. Ahmed Fouad, also a midfielder, added a second-half goal, secured by an assist from Hossam Reda. The result defied a pregame statistical projection that forecast a 1-1 draw, as Pharco improved its record across all competitions. Three yellow cards were issued during the match.
