SAO PAULO (Interstat) — Red Bull Bragantino hosts EC Vitoria in a Brazilian Serie A match on Wednesday, with the visitors carrying a wave of momentum into the contest.

Vitoria enters on a four-match unbeaten run, most recently defeating Mirassol FC 2-0 at home on Saturday. Their recent form includes a 3-1 road win at Sport Recife and a scoreless draw at powerhouse Palmeiras. Midfielders Ignacio Laquintana, Jhonatan Jowjow and Eric Ramires have been key to the team’s recent productivity.

Bragantino, meanwhile, has not played a competitive match since a 1-1 draw with Sport Recife on Sept. 14. Their last outing was a 3-1 home loss to Internacional on Aug. 9. The extended layoff presents an unknown factor for the home side.

The statistical projection service Interstat simulates a 1-1 draw for the matchup.

Following this game, Vitoria will host Sao Paulo on Dec. 7, while Bragantino will travel to face Internacional the same day.
