SANTIAGO DEL ESTERO, Argentina (Interstat) — Central Córdoba opened its Primera Nacional season with a 2-1 victory over Almagro on Saturday, secured by a stoppage-time winner from Jose Florentín. The match at Estadio Alfredo Terrera was a physical contest featuring seven yellow cards and two red cards. Almagro substitute Facundo Gulli opened the scoring just before halftime, but Florentín, a midfielder, leveled the match deep into second-half stoppage time to snatch the win. The result defied a pre-game projection that had favored a draw.
