Audax Italiano vs Nublense
SANTIAGO, Chile (Interstat) — Audax Italiano will host Ñublense in a Chilean Primera División match on Monday, Dec. 1, looking to avenge a recent defeat to their league rivals.
The last meeting between the two sides on June 15 saw Ñublense emerge with a 3-2 victory on Audax Italiano’s home pitch. Audax will be hoping for a different result this time, coming off a 2-0 home win against Everton on Nov. 21.
Ñublense, however, enters the contest in a difficult stretch, having lost 1-0 to Huachipato on Nov. 24. That defeat is part of a larger winless streak for the visitors, who have lost five of their last six matches across all competitions. Their last victory was the aforementioned 3-2 result against Audax Italiano in June.
The matchup pits Audax Italiano’s potent but inconsistent attack against a struggling Ñublense defense. Audax’s recent games have been high-scoring affairs, including a 4-3 win over Unión Española and a 4-4 draw with Unión La Calera.
According to the Interstat game simulator, the contest is projected to end in a 1-1 draw. The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. local time kickoff at Estadio Bicentenario de La Florida.
